93pts 2017 Trombetta Family Wines Chardonnay Indindoli Vineyard $45
"Coming from a site in the Russian River and fermented and aged in 25% new oak, the 2017 Chardonnay Indindoli Vineyard is closer in style to the Gap's Crown release and has beautiful lemon curd, crushed rocks, white flowers, and a touch of brioche-like aromas and flavors. Rich, medium to full-bodied, with good acidity and terrific balance, this is a beautiful, complete, layered Chardonnay that's going to evolve nicely for 4-6 years." – Jeb Dunnuck
92pts 2017 Trombetta Family Wines Four Brothers Vineyard Chardonnay Sonoma Mountain $50
"The 2017 Chardonnay Four Brothers Vineyard comes from a site in the Sonoma Mountains and is a mix of Wente, Mt. Eden, and Calera clones brought up in 20-30% new French oak. Its slightly richer gold color is followed by a ripe, sexy nose of Caramelized orchard fruits, melon, crème brûlée, and toasted bread. It's rich, fleshy, and opulent on the palate, with plenty of heft, good acidity, and a clean finish. It's a more classic California Chardonnay that has plenty of ripe fruits, some integrated oak, and tons of character. Drink it over the coming 2-5 years." – Jeb Dunnuck
92pts 2017 Trombetta Family Wines Gap's Crown Vineyard $60
"Starting with the 2017 Chardonnay Gap's Crown Vineyard, which comes from a cool site in the Petaluma Gap, it was aged nine months in 25% new French oak. This light gold colored effort offers up a classic Chardonnay nose of orchard fruits, Meyer lemons, and citrus blossom as well as a touch of background oak. It's medium-bodied, has good acidity, a balanced, layered texture, and a great finish. It's one classy, classic cool-climate Chardonnay that has plenty of richness and depth. It should keep for at least 2-5 years."
